Queen City Homebuyer Assistance Program
The Queen City Homebuyer Assistance Program will provide first-time homebuyers purchasing a home in the City of Buffalo with up to $22,000! Up to $5,000 may be used for down payment and closing costs, and the remaining $17,000 may be used to make moderate home repairs to the property being purchased.
Funding for the Queen City Homebuyer Assistance Program is provided by the New York State Housing Trust Fund Corporation and New York State Affordable Housing Corporation.

Qualifications

- Must be a first-time homebuyer purchasing a home in the City of Buffalo
- Household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income as established by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (current maximum for a family of four is $50,800)
- Must actively participate in Pre-Purchase Homeowner Counseling and attend a Homebuyer Education Workshop offered by the HomeOwnership Center
- Must remain in the home being purchased for a minimum of ten (10) years.
