A valuable option for many of the clients who utilize the services of HomeFront, Inc. is the acquisition & rehabilitation program. HomeFront, Inc. is now considered by the City of Buffalo to be the lead agency in acquiring-rehabilitating-reselling houses.

HomeFront, Inc.’s role as a HUD designated Community Housing Development Agency (CHDO) and as a Community Based Development Organization (CBDO) is to improve the useful life of the housing stock in the City of Buffalo. After identifying a house that is abandoned or not selling on the market, HomeFront, Inc. purchases the house and rehabilitates it by updating all major systems. As a CHDO agency, HomeFront, Inc. is providing a better choice of housing to our clients. This program allows a low to moderate income client to purchase a home that is essentially "maintenance free" while preserving the affordability of price for many of our clients.
