This program offers a combined funding package. The Affordable Housing Corporation of NY offers a conditional grant to be matched with another funding source for exterior and interior home code-related improvements.

The intent of the Emergency Repair Program is to address emergency situations such as utility service interruption and the repair of specific house systems such as a break in the sanitary system from the street to the house, a break in the water service from the street to the house, leaking roof system, electrical hazards at the main panel, hazardous chimney, water meter installation, defective heating system and a defective hot water storage heater.

Low income first time home buyers who are purchasing homes in the City of Buffalo may receive a conditional grant for one half of the rehab cost, up to a maximum of $25,000, to assist in the rehabilitation of an existing one or two family home located anywhere in the City of Buffalo.

Targeted Streets Home Improvement Program-Lovejoy District

The First Home Club program allows eligible potential owners to earn $4 in grant monies for every $1 saved over a 10-24 month time period.

The Queen City Homeownership Program offers M&T customers up to $5,000 in Down Payment and Closing Cost assistance.

This program offers Citizens Bank customers up to $2,000 in Down Payment or Closing Cost assistance
