Seneca: The Place, The People, The Vision
Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) mission is to aid and assist in the preservation, stabilization and revitalization of economic and aesthetic conditions of residential and commercial zones within the corporate boundaries as to promote a higher quality of life and social existence. In fulfilling this mission Neighborhood Housing Services of South Buffalo (hereafter referred to as NHS) desired to strengthen and prioritize its community development mission through a planning process that incorporated an open dialogue with the residents of the Seneca Street Neighborhood (Seneca).
The report, and indeed the entire planning process, incorporated three fundamental questions: Where are we? Where are we going? and Where do we want to be? The Consultant asked these questions repeatedly to NHS and the community throughout the planning process.
