Good Neighbors Planning Alliance

The Good Neighbors’ Planning Alliance (GNPA) is a neighborhood-based planning process and a part of the City of Buffalo’s ongoing Comprehensive Planning efforts. It seeks to actively involve citizens in the creation of community-based action plans in each of the City’s eleven planning sectors. The GNPA is also a community empowerment process whereby community members will have an official voice in determining the future direction of their own neighborhoods.

The Mission of the Good Neighbors Planning Alliance is to:

  • Include diverse individuals and groups in the process of improving the community
  • Establish new partnerships within the community
  • Build the community’s capacity to address complex problems
  • Improve conditions such as housing, education, recreation and the physical environment
  • Improve public policies and services that impact the community
  • Improve the quality of life for all
